Meet our Neurologists
Since November is Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, we are featuring UHS neurologists who treat neurological disorders that patients can go to with a referral from their primary care physician.
Dr. Yevgenya Kaydanova
is a graduate of Academician Pavlov Medical School in St. Petersburg, Russia. She completed both her residency and fellowship training in Epilepsy and Clinical Electrophysiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. With over 20 years in practice, she is board-certified in neurology and in clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She currently serves as an associate professor of at the UIC Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation. Dr. Kaydanova sees patients at Polk St. Clinic and aside from English, she speaks Russian. Concurrently, she is also UHS’ medical director.
Dr. Iwona Sobczak
attended the Copernicus Academy of Medicine, in Krakow, Poland. Her residency program was completed at the Presence Saint Joseph Hospital, Internal Medicine and at the University of Chicago, Neurology. Dr. Sobczak completed a fellowship program in Clinical Nuerophysiology and Epilepsy, at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, in Springfield, IL. She sees patients at Polk St. Clinic and Northwest Cumberland Clinic. Aside from English, she speaks Polish.
